Mackinnons host ‘Lunch with the Legends’
The Team at Mackinnons hosted a ‘Lunch with the Legends’ to celebrate (almost) 40 years since the release of groundbreaking “Last of the Hunters” documentary, featuring 3 legends - and top skippers- of the Scottish Fishing Industry; Andrew Bremner, Willie Tait and Terry Taylor.
Industry guests were treated to a viewing of the documentary and a Q&A session with the legends. Mackinnons and guests were also privileged to have the presence of the documentary’s maker, Ted Brocklebank, and Angus MacPhail, co-founder and songwriter of the Scottish Trad band Skipinnish, whom the documentary had been the inspiration for the bands works of the same title.
Graham Jones, Partner, commented "it was great to have Andrew, Willie and Terry together to share their wisdom and insights from their time as top skippers within the fishing industry. It was very interesting to hear from the documentary maker, Ted Brocklebank, and so many current industry professionals during the interview session. Rewatching the documentary and the guest participation during the Q&A allowed us to reflect on both the similarities and differences in the challenges faced by the industry throughout the years.”
