Mackinnons Rise in Rankings
Mackinnons are delighted to once again be recognised in the Chambers UK Guide for 2025, the well-respected independent publication which each year assesses the leading players in the legal market.
The Shipping team have been promoted to a Band 2 ranking, one of only 4 firms in Scotland to have such a high ranking, and Mackinnons are the only firm headquartered outside the central belt to achieve this.
In addition to the team's success, individual partners have also been recognised. Graham Jones retains his long-held Band 1 ranking; Martin Sinclair is promoted to Band 2; and Angus Easton is ranked for the first time in Band 3.
Graham Jones commented, "We are extremely pleased and proud to be highly ranked once again by Chambers UK. The rankings achieved reflect the hard work and dedication of the whole team and its continued commitment to achieving strong results for longstanding and new clients alike. In addition, for no other firm in Scotland to have as many as three lawyers ranked Band 3 or higher for Shipping law is particularly pleasing."
Mackinnons' Litigation team have also been recognised in the Personal Injury (Defendant) sector. The department and Martin Sinclair have maintained their Band 3 rankings, and associate Rachael Bain has been promoted from an 'Up and Coming' solicitor to Band 4 ranked.
Martin Sinclair said, "Our success depends on providing high quality legal services to our clients in a fast-moving commercial world, and the recognition by such a well-respected publication as Chambers UK is very rewarding. The Litigation team are resolute in our determination to provide the highest standard of service to clients and it's positive to receive this recognition for our efforts."
