Refunding Employment Tribunal Fees

Following the successful challenge to the lawfulness of Employment Tribunal fees, the Government has now announced its plans for a refund scheme.

Anyone who paid a fee to an Employment Tribunal or the Employment Appeal Tribunal can now register for a refund. Although these mostly affect employees, where employers have been ordered to reimburse employees for fees paid, they too can apply for a refund.  Similarly where an employer has paid a fee to appeal, or a fee to the Employment Tribunal for any other purpose, they can also register for a refund using the appropriate form.
